Understanding Your Pregnancy Score

How the Score Is Calculated

This page explains how your pregnancy score is calculated based on your inputs. The score takes into account the timing of ovulation, effectiveness of contraception, and any symptoms you're currently experiencing.

For instance, if intercourse occurred on or near the estimated ovulation date and no contraception was used (or a less effective method was used), the score may be higher. The presence of common early symptoms such as fatigue or nausea also contributes to the overall score.

Please remember, this score is an informational guide and does not confirm pregnancy. If you're unsure, consider taking a test or consulting a medical professional.

🔍 Behind the Algorithm

The score is based on a combination of timing relative to ovulation, contraceptive effectiveness, and symptom weightings. It references public data from CDC and WHO (2019), as well as average cycle statistics from peer-reviewed literature including Human Reproduction, 2022.

Scoring Formula (Simplified)

Total Score = Ovulation timing weight + (100 − contraception success rate) + symptom weight − age adjustment
Final percentage is calculated by dividing the score by 1.5 and limiting it between 0% and 66%.

Age Adjustment

For users over 35, 5 points are subtracted every 5 years to reflect the natural change in average fertility.
